In Saint Boniface something interesting is going on. There are a lot of Muslim west Africans and Moroccans living here now. The université de Saint-Boniface as well as the cafetaria there goes out of their way to welcome and make comfortable Muslim students. The cafeteria insures that pork or bacon isn't cooked beside their food if they request it. A very nice dynamic in the community. This is a good model for the rest of the city. I work as a clerk at the historic Saint-Boniface Post Office and encounter many of these immigrants. They are very respectful and its always a pleasure to serve them. The city should contact the l'université and ask them how they welcome diverse nationalities to our community.
