Human rights education

On Feb 4th 2015, Gail Stephens, Interim President and CEO, Canadian Museum for Human Rights said:

Education and respectful conversation will help us overcome racism. For example, Grade 5 to 8 students who visit the Canadian Museum for Human Rights learn to protect their rights and the rights of others. In the “Be an Upstander” program, young people explore how they can help create a society where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. I believe Winnipeg can become an example to the rest of Canada and the world of how human rights education can inspire a better society. Students from K-12 inspire us every day!
