We are all treaty people
All of us settlers should spend more time learning about the history of the colonization of Canada and our treaty relationships with first nations. That history is surprisingly recent on the prairies, which I think makes racism here especially raw. Let's learn what it really means to be in a nation-to-nation treaty relationship with our indigenous cousins and explore creative ways to forge yes/and solutions instead of us-or-them attitudes.
