Treat everyone fairly regardless of background - stop priveldges for certain races
When my gr. 4 son, asked me why Aboriginals have certain priveldges that he doesnt (we are 'white'), I was unsure how to answer that. He called it 'reverse racism'. He didnt understand why one ethnicity is offered more opportunity than others. And in his gr. 4 way of putting it, I agree. No matter what ethnicity, when you create certain benefits, opportunities and privileges for people of a certain race its a basis for negative feelings from one race to another. I wonder at what point will someone stop special treatment of Aboriginal people? Throughout history there has been mistreatment of one race to another so why is the Aboriginals the only race receiving benefits? Treat all equally!
