Employers should be given grants or subsidies when hiring persons of visible minorities in order to encourage this. It's pretty sad, but persons of visible minorities makes less money on average and are more likely to be unemployed than those of the majority.
EIA needs to be increased to a living wage and those on EIA should be able to save up more money in order to bridge the gap when they are actually employed.
All prescriptions should be free or at a very low cost. This would also help bridge the gap between welfare and employment since some medications are very expensive.
Our minimum wage needs to be changed to a living wage that actually can support people and provide them a decent life.
