What if every year, school kids from all over the province, from reserves, rural communities and Winnipeg and other cities, spent some time with each other? Maybe hosting each other in their homes? Spending at least three or four days in another community, seeing the good and the bad and getting to know each other? If my son's school can send them on a ski trip, they could send them to a northern or rural community to interact with kids who have very different lives.

I know this more of a provincial responsibility, but I think it would go a long way to breaking down barriers between people.
