Education for both sides

The biggest problem in my view is the lack of knowledge and understanding of the treaty relationship between aboriginals and the government. This has never been taught in schools so it's somewhat understandable that people get the wrong impression that it is "taxpayer money" and not what it actually is, a resource sharing agreement. Secondly, people say that everyone should be equal. I agree but native education still receives several thousand dollars less education funding than the rest of the school system. If we make this equal, everybody wins. We need to help alleviate poverty regardless of race. It is a proven fact that hungry children score far lower in school. Its difficult to learn when all you can think of is an empty stomach. Thanks for the opportunity to put in my two cents
