"I believe that children are our future...teach them well and let them lead the way.
....show them all the beauty that they possess inside".
I suggest that focussing on the holistic education of our disadvantaged children must be one of our primary strategies. Within each child lies an often hidden "talent" which...if it is identified and nourished on a timely basis...may allow them to flourish and propagate a number of personal attributes across a broad spectrum of development. Examples of different talents or literacies are: mathematical, scientific, artistic, musical, language, physical, and personal & social development. While parents and schools should take the lead role in this longitutudinal initiative many community-based NGOs and organizations are well positioned to play an important role in nourishing the child's development.
