tolerance and respect
First of all, I don't think we can completely erase the idea of racism, that's why it still exists and will always exist. We were all born different, and we cannot help but have our own ideas, styles, likes and dislikes. All individuals have inherent prejudices and biases, and to change each person is not the answer. To learn to be tolerant is the only way I can think of to help racism, and to learn to respect each other. More sessions, educating people on tolerance and respect is needed. More creative projects that will help people understand what it is to be tolerant and respectful of each other's culture. Creative because people can be sensitive as well as prejudiced.
